In the theoretical part, I dealt with the ethics of nursing, its principles and history and I described some ethical problems of nursing. In the practical part, I focused on the time pressure as an ethical problem. The research was conducted using a qualitative method of investigation in the form of a semi-structured interview. I interviewed 6 sisters. In the analysis of the interviews, I focus on the frequency of occurrence of time pressure, nurses' attitude to the documentation in time pressure, patient care during time pressure, errors and solutions. The specifics of social work with seniors and possible ethical dilemmas of work from the point of view of a social worker

The bachelor thesis deals with the ethical dilemmas of social work in residential services for the elderly. The first chapter defines the concept of old age and describes the accompanying phenomena of the aging process. The second chapter describes the methods of social work with the elderly and defines residential services for the elderly. The third chapter deals with the ethical aspects of social work with the elderly and describes the role of the social worker. The fourth chapter defines the concept of ethical dilemma and conflict of values. The next part presents dilemmatic situations on specific examples from the literature. The fifth chapter is devoted to empirical research, which is based on real statements of social workers in residential services, illustrates what ethical dilemmas social workers most often encounter and how to solve them. The aim of the bachelor thesis was to specify social work with seniors, to describe the ethical dilemmas of social work with seniors in residential services and to show, on specific examples from qualitative research, which solution social workers prefer.
Ethical dilemmas in crisis telephone intervention among seniors

The thesis is of a theoretical nature. The thesis deals with the ethical dilemmas of telephone crisis intervention workers while working with seniors. This thesis aims to define the moral dilemmas of telephone crisis intervention workers, which are exposed every day, and to reflect on their solutions with the help of ethical theories. The first chapter presents the characteristics of age and ageing, age changes, and preparation for age. The second chapter contains the aspects and features of crisis intervention and the causes, phases, types and solutions of the crisis. Chapter three presents the topic of telephone crisis intervention as a form of help. Chapter four describes senior crisis intervention, the most common crises in old age and senior telephone crisis intervention. The last chapter contains the topic of ethical dilemmas in the senior telephone crisis intervention and the reflection of ethical theories responding to moral dilemmas of the line workers.
Dilemmas of organizations providing services to people with autism

The diploma thesis focuses on ethical dilemmas of organizations which helps people with autism spectrum disorders. The preface part describes methodical steps which were taken to elaborate this thesis. The thesis is divided into six parts. The first part focuses on target group and its specific varieties. The second part deals with the specifics of the social work with autistic people. The next part is dedicated to ethics in the field of social work, mostly to ethical code, problems and dilemmas of social workers. In the fourth part the three ethical theories are described: Deontology, Utilitarianism and Antiopressive Theories.The fifth part follows, where the specific dilemmas of organizations helping to people with autism are introduced. The last part focuses on application of above-mentioned theories to specific dilemma. The research probe was done in particular organization which deals with people with autism. Obtained information were processed in discussion.
Selected ethical aspects of an employee of the body of social and legal protection of children

This thesis deals with categorized ethical dilemmas in the performance of the work of an employee of the body of social and legal protection of children. It presents the ethical dilemmas arising in the performance of the work of an employee of the body of social and legal protection of children, which in some way affect the conscience of the social worker. At the same time, it deals with how specifically ethical dilemmas affect a social worker personally, and what is their view of the whole ethically problematic case. Alongside with the previously mentioned, this work inquires into the impact of such dilemmas on children and their families. Subsequently, the thesis describes how the ethical dilemmas can be solved with the help of the ethics of virtues. The goals of this work are to introduce the whole body of social and legal protection of children, to introduce a problematic family that needs to be rehabilitated in order to restore its basic functions of healthy functioning. The last goal of this work is to present the manifestations and consequences of an abused, mistreated or neglected child and the possibility of solving such a problem. This thesis has four chapters. The first chapter deals with the body of social and legal protection of children. The second chapter describes its specific activities. The third chapter ethically focuses on the ethical dilemmas of the employees of the social and legal protection of children. The last chapter presents the ethics of virtues and how this ethical theory can comprehensively address the good lives of children and their families, who need help from the child welfare authority.
Solving ethical issues in radiation protection from the perspective of specialists in non-medical fields

The aim of this work is to map the current state of the issue of the position of ethics in radiation protection and to conduct research on solving ethical issues in radiation protection from the perspective of experts in non-medical fields, who were elected radiological assistants for this work. This Diploma thesis is devided into 3 parts, theoretical, practical part and discussion. The beginning of ionosing radiation usage in medical field as well as the present of this are briefly described in the theoratical part of this thesis. There are also described biological effects of the radiation on human organism. There is also described the anchoring of the radiation protection system in the legislation of the Czech Republic and introduced the most important authorities and organizations in the radiation protection field. The theoretical part of this thesis describes the goal and principles of radiation protection and exposure situations as well. Last but not least, the role of ethics in the radiation protection system, basic and procedural ethical values are described. In the practical part, the research itself is processed and evaluated in quantitative form by a questionnaire survey using a combination of closed and open questions. The respondents of this research are exclusively radiological assistants working in three departments of three large hospitals in Prague. A comparison of the results of the research itself with my own answers is also included. It is found that the position of ethics in the system of radiation protection is clearly given. It is also proven that radiological assistants encounter ethical dilemmas concerning radiation protection in practice, as well as situations where some principles of radiation protection are directly violated. Furthermore, the most common factors that negatively affect respondents in the performance of the profession are identified. A brief summary of the research results is made in the discussion. It follows a similar study conducted among members of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine. Furthermore, the discussion includes some interesting situations from the questionnaire survey and several suggestions for improvement and/or change of the current situation of the researched issues in practice. The scientific contribution of this work is to identify specific ethical dilemmas that are addressed in current practice and how to solve them, as well as the identification of negative factors influencing respondents and the definition of situations that occur in practice where the principles of radiation protection are violated. Everything is examined in a relatively narrow circle of respondents.
Ethical dilemmas of working in an asylum house for mothers with children in distress

This thesis deals with the topic of ethics in the field of social work in asylum house for mothers with children in distress. At first the thesis generally characterizes social work in asylum houses. Than it describes the importance of ethics in the profession of social work. The next part focuses on outputs detected through semi-structured in-depth se-mistructured interviews and realized with six workers (social workers and workers of social services) in institution St. Zdislava's house for mothers with children in distress in Klatovy. The reader is acquainted with the most common ethical dilemmas of workers in St. Zdislava's house. One of the dilemmas is analyzed through the optics of Kant's ethics.
Ethical dilemmas of a family caring for a person with a severe disability.

The subject of this thesis are ethical dilemmas faced by the parents who look after children with severe combined disabilities of physical and mental nature and help that is provided to them by a social worker. The first part of the thesis focuses on characteristics of families with a disabled member, social services the families can access and general competencies of social workers. Based on ethical assumptions we then combine these characteristics with examples of ethical dilemmas that might arise. These are chosen based on 3 typological examples observed at parents of clients of day care centre Radovan which we devided into 3 main fields. Each field is elaborated from an ethical point of view, in particular Christian ethics also known as moral theology, and appropriate approach of a social worker is suggested based on the analysis.
Typology of characters in firefighters fairytales and their ethical aspect in acceptance of this profession

This bachelor thesis is a theoretical work, which is divided into chapters and subchapters. The content of the work is an analysis of fire tales, ethical aspects and ethical dilemmas of the fire and social profession. The aim of the work is to describe the types, forms of fairy tales, and last but not least to state the ethical aspects and dilemmas of the firefighting profession, where real life clashes with fairy tales. The profession of social work also plays an important role in this work, which serves as an example of comparing and connecting these two professions. The methodology of the work consists of research, expression of requirements by linguistic and stylistic means and analysis of existing stories (fairy-tale or with fairy-tale elements) of texts intended for a specific category of listeners or readers based on the required characteristics in demanding and dangerous practice.
The etical issue of the position of people suffering from mental disorder in the labor market

Subject of Diploma thesis is a description of ethical problems and complication of social mechanism related to employing people who suffer from mental illnesses. There are factors which influences opportunities for success, like concealed or unspecified information about diagnosis. It is happening based on experience with labeling and stigmatization. Thesis reflects sick person's dilemmas and social roles and proposes a solutions in the light of ethic. The goal will be to create a design of code of ethics which can be helping people with experience with mental disorders enter to labour market.
